- While cottons ‘breathe’ in hot, muggy climates, synthetic clothes are easier to wash and dry way faster. They can also be lighter to pack and look better when you drag them out of your pack. Cotton undies are absolutely best for hot climates.
- Take a pack of kitchen wipes. You can use them for a face washer, hand towel, wipe me down – whatever. They’re light, rise out fast and dry almost as fast, and when they’ve had it you can bin them.
- Pack your bag or backpack the same way every time – it’s easier to spot something’s missing straight away.
- Dress according to the culture you’re in which may mean covered up, neat and tidy. Your travel experience will be so much more meaningful if you build up a great rapport and interaction with the local people and, for some, clothing is a critical issue.
