• It’s estimated three times as many backpackers contract Hep A compared to ‘general’ travellers. That works out to about 18 - 1,000 but you wouldn’t want to be one of the 18 so follow all medical advice.
• While adventuring into the Sahara is packed with romance the reality is 50 degree days in summer below freezing nights in winter and huge strain on people and equipment. Never go it alone or in a pair and know the credentials and expertise of any company you travel with.
