If you do get caught out, here’s a few tips:

• Even if you find your flight is delayed, still go to the airport at the normal time as a delay can mean massively longer queues later and you don’t want to be caught in that and then miss your flight after all.
• Another reason for going at the same time is in case the information given out by your airline has not been updated, meaning you could end up forfeiting your tickets because you weren’t there on time.
• If you are delayed and you have booked a rental car or accommodation at the other end, always let the hotel or rental agency know. Then you’ll avoid arriving and finding your car or room gone because they thought you were a ‘no show’.
